Pavia não se vê num dia

Pavia é muito mais do que a sua famosa Anta, transformada em capela.

Venha daí. Vamos mostrar-lhe um pouco desta bonita e pacata vila alentejana.

Começamos pelo Largo, com  a Torre do Relógio e o seu gracioso coreto.

Temos o espantoso casario de Pavia.

Gosto de me passear nestas ruas de branco vestidas e de buganvilias enfeitadas. E apreciar o silêncio.

Pavia apresenta um vasto património religioso. Façamos um curto percurso por aquilo que eu vi e que aprecio nesta vila.

Admiremos a beleza arquitectónica da Igreja Matriz e apreciemos o seu interior.

Nenhum documento histórico, conhecido, se refere às suas origens e fundamentos. Erguida entre os séculos XIV e XVI.

Aqui se reza missa todos os Domingos e se reúnem os católicos praticantes.
  

Eu gosto desta singela igreja/capela que se encontra logo à entrada da vila, de quem vem de Mora, como eu.
É a igreja de St. António.

Finalmente chegamos às famosas antas, monumentos megalíticos tumulares colectivos.

Uma em "estado puro", atravessando os séculos calmamente na companhia das oliveiras.

Outra transformada em capela por mãos cristãs.

As oliveiras centenárias. Não é espantoso contemplá-las e pensar que estão ali, majestosas, há mais de cem anos? E que ali continuarão por muitas e longas décadas?

Amo estas oliveiras.

Mais haverá para ver. A Casa Museu Manuel Ribeiro, a Casa onde viveu Fernando Namora, a Ermida de S. Sebastião, a igreja da Misericórdia, Malarranha, aqui tão perto, os restaurantes da vila.

We will show you a bit of this beautiful and quiet village of Alentejo. 

This walk starts at Largo, with the Clock Tower and its graceful bandstand.

FR -  Pavia est beaucoup plus que son célèbre cromlech, transformé en chapelle. .

Venez. Nous allons vous montrer un peu de ce magnifique et tranquille village d'Alentejo.

Cette balade commence à la Place central, avec la Cloche-tour et son gracieux kiosque à musique.




EN - We have the amazing houses of Pavia.

I like walking along these smal streets, dressed in white and decorated with bougainvilleas. And I enjoy the silence.




FR - Il y a les maisons étonnantes de Pavia.

J'aime me flaner sur ces petites rues, habillées en blanc et décorées de bougainvilles. Et je profite le silence.

EN - Pavia has a vast religious heritage. Let's take a short tour arond what I saw and appreciated in this village.

EN - Let's admire the beautiful architecture of the Mother Church and appreciate its interior. 

No historical document mentions its origins and foundations. Most probably, it was Built between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries.

Here one prays mass every Sunday and the practicing Catholics gather.

FR -  Pavie possède un vaste héritage religieux. Fesons un petit tour par de ce que j'ai vu et ai apprécié dans ce village.

Admirons la belle architecture de l'Eglise Mère et appréciez son intérieur.

Aucun document historique mentionne ses origines et ses fondements. Très probablement, il a été construit entre les XIVe et XVIe siècles.

Ici, on prie la messe tous les dimanches et les catholiques pratiquants se rassemblent.

 

















EN - I like this simple church / chapel that is just outside the village, from Mora, like me. It is the church of St. Anthony. 

FR -  Par sa simplicité, j'aime cette église / chapelle, qui se trouve juste à l'entrée extérieur du village, pour ceux qui viennent de Mora, comme moi. C'est l'église de Saint-Antoine.

 





















EN - Finally we come to the famous cromlech, collective megalithic monuments.

One in "pure state", has crossed the centuries calmly in company of the olive trees.

FR - Enfin, nous arrivons au célèbre cromlech, monument mégalithique collectif.

L'un est en «état pur»,il  a traversé les siècles calmement en compagnie des oliviers.

























EN - The other was transformed into a chapel by Christian hands.

FR - L'autre a été transformée en chapelle par les mains des Christians.



 






















EN - The century-old olive trees. It is amazing to contemplate them and to think that they have been majestic there for over a hundred years, isnt'it? And also that they will continue there for many long decades?

I love these olive trees.

There is much more to see. The Manuel Ribeiro Museum, the House where Fernando Namora lived, the Chapel of S. Sebastião, the church of Misericórdia, the Malarranha landsacpe, so close, the restaurants of the village.

FR -   Les oliviers centenaires. C'est absolument fantastic de contempler ces oliviers qui sont là depuis plus d'un siècle, vous ne pensez pas? Et aussi se rappeller qu'ils continueront encore là pendant de longues décennies?

J'adore ces oliviers.

Il y a beaucoup plus à voir. Le musée Manuel Ribeiro, la maison où habitaient Fernando Namora, la chapelle de S. Sebastião, l'église de la Misericordia, le terrain de golf de Malarranha, à proximité, les restaurants du village.
