Monte da Courela was born out of a love affair. Between Mila and Luís. He wanted a quiet retirement, under the shade of the corktrees in Alentejo, and Mila accepted to follow him . Later, she also fell in love with Alentejo.

We found her in Malarranha, where she welcomed us with a smile, an excellent homemade cake and a delicious coffee. Simple and delicious
treats to spoil the guests.

Carnival is approaching and Easter will be here very soon, so I come with a suggestion on where to spend a few relaxing days and to be pampered from beginning to end.

The joy she puts into everything she does and says is the brand image of this woman.
Mila Maciel is the soul of Monte da Courela.

Color is the dominant note of this Monte, where everything appeals to a relaxing stay, in a paradisiacal corner in Alentejo, far, far away, from the city´s hustle and bustle.

On sunny and hot days the pool calls for us.

The  hammock hanging on the porch makes us feel in a tropical spot and invites to a snap in the serenity of Alentejo.

From the porch you can see the lingering fields, the water pond and the old wagon that once must have been pulled by a nice donkey and now is full with local products.

Want to know what's going on inside the house?

Well, the rooms are simple, comfortable, all decorated with a typically Alentejo iron bed.

In summertime, when it is hot outside, or in Winter when nights get cold, there is always a snooker table waiting for you in the living room.

Mila's liqueurs are also waiting for you.

Homemade, delicious, made with the care she puts in everything she does to well serve her guests.

Every detail makes us feel comfortable in Monte da Courela and wishing to stay.

Others before us felt the same.

" Thank you for your hospitality and kindness"
Ribeiro family and Duarte family

And if you fancy exploring the Municipality of Mora, you are not short of possible activities. The Monte is 20 km from the Fluviário, 27 km from the Interactive Megalithic Museum of Mora and 35 km from the Church of our lady of Brotas.
